Police investigate Traralgon collision

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a crash which occurred in Traralgon this afternoon, Victoria Police say.

Officers have been told a Toyota Corolla with four occupants was travelling north along Traralgon-Maffra Road when it has collided with a Toyota Land cruiser turning right into Dranes Road about 1.30pm.

The Toyota Corolla has then hit a supporting pole connected to a larger power pole.

A child occupant of the Toyota Corolla was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

The remaining three occupants including the driver received minor injuries and were transported to hospital.

The two male occupants of the Toyota Land cruiser were uninjured.

Traralgon-Maffra road remains closed.

Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit are currently en route to the scene.
