Police Make Arrests - Crime Series In Darwin 8 May

Northern Territory Police have arrested 6 offenders in relation to a crime series across Darwin overnight.

During the late evening and into the early morning, police received reports of multiple business and residences in Fannie Bay, East Arm and Darwin City, being unlawfully entered.

At least 6 vehicles were stolen, with 3 attempting to fuel up at a service station in Berry Springs.

Detectives from Strike Force Trident, the Dog Operation Unit and General Duties from Batchelor and Adelaide River deployed to apprehend the vehicles.

Tyre Deflation Devices were successfully deployed just outside of Adelaide River, with 3 vehicles coming to stop and 5 males, aged between 13 and 17, and an adult female arrested at the scene.

All remain in custody and are expected to be charged later today.

The remaining 3 vehicles are believed to have also left the Darwin area and investigations to locate them are ongoing.
