Police probe following public place shooting in Greenacre

Police are investigating following a public place shooting in Sydney’s south west this morning, NSW Police say.

Shortly before 3am, today, emergency services were called Cardigan Street, Greenacre, following reports of shots being fired.

Upon arrival, officers located a number of casings on the road.

Police have been told male voices were heard in the street before shots were fired and a car fled the scene.

Officers attached to Bankstown Local Area Command established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation.

No one is believed to have been hurt in the shooting and no damage has been located.

Police are currently conducting a canvass of the area and investigations will continue.
