Police search for burglar in Caulfield North

Glen Eira Bayside Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released CCTV following a burglary in Caulfield North yesterday (21 October), Victoria Police say.

It is believed a man climbed over a fence and forced entry to a house on Halstead Street through a back door about 8.20am.

CCTV footage shows the offender leave the premises on foot, armed with a jemmy bar.

The man then returns about 8.50am, in the company of another unknown man, in a grey Mazda 3 hatchback.

The original offender climbed over the fence and accessed the home through the same door while his accomplice waited in the car.

Once inside, the offender has ransacked various rooms and stolen jewellery and electronic equipment.

The offender is perceived as being Caucasian, in his mid-20’s, dark hair in a crew cut style, and facial hair.

He was wearing a black hooded jacket with ‘HH’ printed on the back, and ‘Harley Davidson’ printed on the left sleeve, grey track pants and dark sneakers.

Investigators have released CCTV and images of two males they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
