Police search for mssing bushwalker in Baw Baw National park

A search is underway for a missing bushwalker who failed to return to a nominated campsite at Caringal in the Baw Baw National Park yesterday afternoon, Victoria Police say.

The 77-year-old experienced bushwalker was on Tyers River Track around 3pm when she told fellow walkers that she was returning to camp.

The woman failed to arrive at camp and a search involving local police, SES volunteers and Victoria Police Search and Rescue members commenced and continued into the night.

The search resumed this morning with searchers focusing on the Tyers Junction and the Eastern Tyers Walking Track areas.
