Police seek assistance to help locate missing man in Katoomba

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a man missing from Katoomba since this evening, NSW Police say.

Terrence Broadhead, 80, was last seen about 6.30pm today, at a nursing home on Penault Avenue.

It’s believed Mr Broadhead left the location on foot and when he failed to return, concerned staff contacted police.

Officers from Blue Mountains Local Area Command have been searching for Mr Broadhead; however, he has not been seen or heard from since.

Concerns are held for Mr Broadhead’s welfare, as he suffers a medical condition and is believed to be without medication.

Mr Broadhead is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 188cm tall, of slim build, with grey hair and goatee.

He was last seen wearing a grey dressing gown, a turquoise polo shirt, blue pants and blue slippers.

Anyone who knows of Mr Broadhead’s whereabouts is urged to contact local police via Crime Stoppers.
