Police seek info after armed robbery in South Kempsey

Police have appealed for information from the community after an armed robbery at South Kempsey overnight, NSW Police say.

About 2.10am today, two offenders, one armed with a knife, entered a restaurant and walked behind the counter.

One man grabbed one of the four staff members by the arm, and then by the neck, demanding cash.

The two offenders then removed a quantity of cash and fled from the premises to a white mid 1990s white Toyota Landcruiser 4WD which drove from the area.

The employee suffered discomfort only.

The two male offenders are described as wearing hoodies, gloves and their faces covered.

One man was about 183cm tall with a stocky build and a scar on the right cheek

The second man was 178cm tall, with a slim build, blue eyes and was armed with a knife.

Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
