Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man who may be able to assist with investigations following an attempted sexual assault at Mount Coot-tha yesterday, May 13.
Emergency services were called to Cockatoo Trail, off Gap Creek Road, at approximately 10.15am after a man attempted to assault a 25-year-old woman, before leaving the scene on foot.
Police are conducting extensive patrols, and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 180cm tall, with short dark hair and facial stubble.
He is aged between 30 and 40 years-old and was wearing a black t-shirt and dark coloured shorts at the time of the incident.
Nearby residents are urged to review their CCTV, and motorists are also urged to check their dashcam footage for any relevant vision.
