Police Seek Information On Aggravated Assault In Darwin 23 April

Northern Territory Police are calling for information after an aggravated assault occurred in Darwin City early this morning.

Around 2:50am, police received reports of a disturbance at a licenced premises, on Gilruth Avenue, involving three men and one woman.

The group were allegedly refused service and escorted out of the premises by security officers when they began assaulting security.

The group fled the scene in a Mitsubishi Outlander.

One security officer suffered a serious stab wound to their arm. They have since been transported to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment

Three other security officers suffered minor injuries.

Investigations remain ongoing.

Northern Territory Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call 131 444.
