Police seek witnesses: Disturbance, Currimundi

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old boy was wounded in Currimundi last night, November 22.

Emergency crews were called to a park along Bellara Drive at approximately 9.30pm following reports of a disturbance involving around ten people, believed to be known to each other.

Upon arrival, a 16-year-old Pelican Waters boy was located with non-life-threatening injuries to his hip and hand, and was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to come forward.

Nearby residents are also urged to review their CCTV for any relevant vision.

Investigations are continuing.
