Police seek witnesses to Bentleigh East burglary

Police are investigating a burglary at a residential garage in Bentleigh East where about $10 000 worth of power tools were stolen in May, Victoria Police say.

Glen Eira Bayside Crime Investigation Unit detectives have been told two men gained entry to a residential garage in Gowrie Street just before 7am on 20 May.

It’s believed the pair spent about 40 minutes inside the garage before fleeing with two bags including a blue Makita tool bag containing assorted hand and power tools.

Both men fled the scene via the front driveway, walking west along Gowrie Street.

Detectives have released an image and CCTV of two men they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The men are described to be Caucasian, 25-35-years-old and were wearing gloves.

The first man was wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants.

The second man was wearing a blue hat, tracksuit pants and a grey top.
