Police Update 1: Fatal Traffic Crash, Peeramon

The Forensic Crash Unit has released images of an intersection at Peeramon as part of an appeal for witnesses or information that may assist with investigations into a fatal traffic crash on Sunday April 21.

Initial investigations indicate that a white Toyota Hilux and a red Nissan Patrol were travelling in the same direction along Lake Barrine Road before they crashed at around 5:30am.

Sadly a 43-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Hilux, died at the scene.

The 42-year-old male driver of the Hilux was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Nissan Patrol was not physically injured.

Investigators are eager to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage of the incident, or moments leading up to it.

Investigators are particularly keen to speak to anyone that may have observed the white 2000 Toyota Hilux (Dual Cab) driving in the area prior to the incident.
