Police update: Suspicious death investigation, North Booval

Ipswich detectives have charged three people with murder following the death of a man at North Booval yesterday.

It will be alleged around 5pm two groups had arranged to meet on Baden Jones Way in relation to a dispute over property.

An altercation occurred between the group of nine males, some were armed with baseball bats and one with a firearm.

A 31-year-old Calamvale man died at the Ipswich Hospital a short time later after suffering two gun shots wounds.

Four other people were transported to hospital.

This evening, detectives have charged a 28-year-old Logan man, a 24-year-old North Booval man and a 16-year-old Riverview boy with one count of murder and two counts of grievous bodily harm.

All three will appear in Ipswich courts tomorrow, July 29.

A 29-year-old Heritage Park man remains in the Princess Alexandra Hospital with critical head injuries.
