Detectives from the Property Crime Squad are continuing to disrupt crime in the Rockhampton area recently arresting 11 people on 45 property and drug-related offences from April 28 to May 2.
11 people have now been charged on 45 offences, including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, attempted burglary, possession of drugs, break and enter, driving under influence, breach of bail and unlawful possession of weapons.
It is alleged overnight on April 25, three people broke into a Kinchant Dam Road property and stole a Holden Colorado.
It was located by police at the intersection of Quay and Williams Street on April 26.
A 22-year-old Norman Gardens man was charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possessing dangerous drugs and enter premises.
He is due to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on May 15.
In a separate incident, it is alleged on April 2, two men broke into a Clayton Road property and stole a Ford Ranger.
Police located and intercepted the stolen vehicle along Woodland Drive on May 2.
A 25-year-old man from The Range was charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count of contravene direction of a police officer.
He is due to reappear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on May 29.
Detective Inspector Luke Peachey from Rockhampton CIB said we have a dedicated group of specialised officers acting on information from the public as well as investigation outcomes identifying offenders and putting a dent into the property crime market in the area.
"The public are our eyes and ears in the community and help police to detect, deter and disrupt property crime through good information they supply, which leads us to make these types of arrests.
"We are committed to curbing property crime in our community and will continue to pursue anyone who commit offences, with further arrests expected," warned Detective Inspector Peachey.
Investigations are continuing.
