Rosewood United, QCSA Soccer Launch 2024 Season

Rosewood United Soccer Club

The 2024 season has kicked off this week with hundreds of families coming together with teams competing across the region.

The Rosewood's under 11's team who took the QCSA Premiership for 2023 are returning as under 12's under their returning coach Tori-Lee Ross.

"The team has come a long way. 2023 was their first year on the full-sized field and for many of them it was their first year playing soccer. In my eyes they are champions with the level of sportsmanship I see each and every game", said Tori-Lee Ross today, returning as this years under 12's coach.

"Playing builds friendships, confidence, sportsmanship and gets kids moving. It is so important for young people today.

"Joining in is a huge opportunity for young people to develop respect, time management and focuses them on training, teaches them to work as a team and not just as individuals.

The Rosewood United Soccer Club has grown and demonstrated an amazing swell of support in the region with new teams that can now join the rosters with additional members including a new under 12 and under 13 girls and senior men's team.

Club President Tammy Crawford is leading the club again this year and her dedication and commitment has resulted in an amazing outcome for a community that is fast growing and getting behind the club at every step of the way.

"Rosewood is a family club and we all pitch in as a community. This year we are growing and delivering even more with an over 30's team, an all-girls under 13 and under 12 team and we are investing in an under 17's developmental team, said Rosewood United Club President, Tammy Crawford today.

"It is so important for people of all ages to keep fit and move, especially us older people, said River Night, who's son was in last years under 11's team.

"I'd encourage people of all ages to get involved in their local teams and play regardless of skill levels as it is so important for both physical fitness but almost mental health and connecting with the community. I've joined the senior men's team this year and while I'm very sore after our first game its fantastic exercise.

The first round nerves are gone, and its time for the next round!
