Secretary Blinken to Co-Lead U.S.-Mexico High-Level Security Dialogue

On October 13, Secretary Antony J. Blinken will co-lead the U.S.-Mexico High-Level Security Dialogue at the U.S. Department of State. U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, USAID Administrator Samantha Power, and other senior U.S. government officials will join Secretary Blinken in welcoming their Mexican counterparts to discuss implementation of the U.S.-Mexico Bicentennial Framework for Security, Public Health, and Safe Communities.

Through this dialogue, the United States and Mexico will discuss cooperation to better protect the health and safety of our citizens, prevent criminal organizations from harming our countries, and upholding human rights while bringing criminals to justice.

Secretary Blinken will also meet bilaterally with Mexican Foreign Secretary Ebrard and host a joint press availability at the conclusion of the dialogue.
