CoE/Parliamentary Assembly session
In her dialogue with members of the Parliamentary Assembly, Secretary General Marija Pejčinović Burić underlined the strong support of the High Level Reflection Group for a fourth Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Council of Europe.
The Summit would be an occasion for all Member States to recommit to the values and standards of the Organisation and to reinforce its mission to promote human rights, democracy and the rule of law, following Russia's exclusion. A key priority would be to provide full support to Ukraine across all sectors of the Council of Europe's activities. The Secretary General also highlighted the need to maximise the synergies between the Council of Europe and the European Union.
