Seeking feedback on improvements to parachuting rules

The proposed instrument aims to rectify unintended consequences of the Part 105 of CASR regulations and minimise financial and operational costs to parachuting organisations and industry while continuing to provide for safe conduct of operations.

The scope includes:

  • rectifying unintended consequences by removing the need for Part 105 Approved Self-administering Aviation Organisation (ASAO) authorisations in certain circumstances
  • adjustments to jump pilot time requirements to allow for certain flight time under supervision.
