Shop damaged in fail to stop crash in Croydon

Police are investigating a fail to stop accident in Sydney’s Inner West which caused serious damage to a shopfront, NSW Police say.

About 2.15am tomorrow police were called to Parramatta Road, Croydon, after an unknown vehicle drove into a shopfront before immediately leaving the scene.

Police arrived to find significant damage to the front of the premises.

While there were no witnesses, police believe the vehicle involved to be a truck. A green p-plate was located at the scene.

The vehicle is likely to have front end damage and travelled west on Parramatta Road after the incident.

Officers from Ashfield LAC are conducting inquiries. Any witnesses are urged to contact Crime Stopers.
