There are six new wombat crossings in the Willoughby City Council area, completed in early December.

There are located at:

  • Hampden Rd, ARTARMON

  • Keary St / Oakville Rd, WILLOUGHBY
  • Merrenburn Ave / Willoughby Rd, NAREMBURN
  • Hatfield St, LANE COVE WEST
  • Kirk St, CHATSWOOD

Wombat Crossings are raised pedestrian crossings that provide greater visibility of pedestrians for approaching vehicles.

The works were completed by the contractor in 10 days to a very high quality standard and in rainy conditions with increased traffic. At Keary Street (pictured), near Willoughby Public School, both crossings were completed in one single day.
