Police have nabbed a man and impounded his vehicle after he was caught speeding in Mulgrave this morning.
Nunawading Highway Patrol officers initially detected the BMW sedan travelling east at an alleged speed of 129km/h in an 80km/h zone on Wellington Road between Jacksons Road and Eastlink at 7.30am.
Police intercepted the 24-year-old driver Learner Driver who was not displaying L plates and did not have an accompanying driver in the vehicle with him at the time.
The Mulgrave man is expected to be charged on summons with driving at an excessive speed, learner driver unaccompanied and failing to display L plates.
The BMW was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $987.50.
