Suba diver dies after being pulled from water - Clovelly

A woman has died after being pulled from the water in Sydney's east.

About 9.40am (Saturday 4 July 2020), emergency services were called to Gordons Bay near Clovelly Road, Clovelly, following reports a scuba diver needed assistance.

The diver, a 53-year-old woman, was pulled from the water by other divers who commenced CPR, before the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics.

The woman was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital where she later died.

Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command and the Marine Area Command have commenced inquiries into the incident.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
