Three teens arrested in Mildura for aggravated burglaries

Mildura Tasking Unit members have arrested three youths following a spate of burglaries targeting backpacker hostels in the local area, Victoria Police say.

The five burglaries were committed in the early hours of the morning between 26 October and 4 November.

Unit members executed two warrants earlier this week and recovered a quantity of property, which included mobile phones, laptops, passports and cash, allegedly stolen in the burglaries.

The three male offenders, a 15-year-old and an 18-year-old from Mildura, and a 16-year-old from Robinvale have been charged with aggravated burglary, theft and handle stolen goods.

The two 18-year-old men were remanded in custody to appear at the Mildura Magistrates’ Court while the 16-year-youth has been remanded to a children’s court.
