Two Men Charged in $83K Fuel Fraud, Theft: Tasmania Police

Two men have been charged over significant fraud and stealing matters after allegedly obtaining more than $83,000 worth of fuel illegally.

The men from Warrane, aged 32 and 36, were arrested in the early hours of Tuesday morning after Glenorchy police received information from a member of the public.

They were later charged with stealing and computer related fraud and have been remanded in custody, to reappear in court in May.

Anyone who has purchased cheap fuel (not from a licenced petrol station) in greater Hobart recently is urged to contact police.
