Two people arrested following police pursuit, NSW

Police have arrested two people following a pursuit that started on the NSW Central Coast and finished in a backstreet of Mt. Kuring-Gai this morning, NSW Police say.

About 8.30am today officers from Northern Region Highway Patrol located a vehicle, occupied by two people wanted on warrants, heading south on the M1 at Tuggerah Lakes.

A pursuit was initiated and the vehicle was followed until the Hawkesbury River Bridge where a decision was made to terminate.

PolAir, tracked the vehicle to Flanders Place, Mt. Kuring-Gai, where officers from Kuring-Gai LAC were positioned.

The male driver and the female passenger allegedly jumped out of the Crusader and ran from police.

The 38-year-old woman was arrested by officers after she was found in the backyard of a nearby home.

The 32-year-old man was arrested after being tracked by a Police Dog and PolAir to nearby bushland.

Both were taken to Hornsby Police Station where they are expected to be charged.
