Police are currently involved in a retrieval operation on the Georges River, NSW Police say.
About 6.30am today, emergency services were called to the Georges River, Milperra, north of the M5 motorway overpass, after reports of a white van floating in the river.
Police from Liverpool Local Area Command attended and with the assistance of the Marine Area Command have attempted to retrieve the white Ford Transit van.
Due to the low tide the van will remain in the river while arrangements are made for it to be winched out.
NSW Police Divers have been activated.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the vehicle.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
