Welcome To Dry With Nightcliff Seabreeze Festival

NT Government

One of the Top End's first community festivals of the dry season kicks off this weekend with an action-packed program of fun and entertainment.

The three-day Nightcliff Seabreeze Festival, which celebrates Darwin's unique and thriving arts and culture scene, will take place from Friday, 10 May to Sunday, 12 May along two kilometres of the beautiful Nightcliff Foreshore.

The free family-friendly festival, which began in 2005, includes a swag of stages and spaces featuring music, dance, visual arts and stalls from creative makers and community groups.

There will be more than 180 acts and over 1600 performers with the Salt Lake Band from Groote Eylandt performing on opening night and two after parties at the Nightcliff Sports Club featuring well-known local bands The NEO and Bloody Marys.

Visitors will also be able to tuck into a meal as the sun sets, with an array of food vans and boutique bars set up at the festival. There will be a range of competitions, including Sand Sculpture and the Jetty Art Space competition, plus roaming circus entertainment and an AFL activation station.

With a sustainability focus, stalls are encouraged to go plastic free and visitors are encouraged to cycle or catch public transport.

Run by Nightcliff Arts, Music and Culture Incorporated, the festival is supported by the Northern Territory Government through Northern Territory Major Events Company.
