Wiley, JULAC Boost Open Access for Hong Kong Scholars

HOBOKEN, N.J. - April 24, 2024 - Wiley, one of the world's largest publishers and a global leader in research and learning, today announced that it has expanded its open access agreement with the Joint University Librarians Advisory Committee (JULAC) in Hong Kong to include four more participating institutions.

The three-year agreement, which began on January 1, 2023, now includes seven total participating institutions, including: The Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Lingnan University and The University of Hong Kong.

Under the agreement, scholars at participating institutions gain access to Wiley's journal portfolio and researchers may publish papers open access across Wiley's portfolio of nearly 2,000 hybrid and gold open access journals.

Wiley has strong momentum in advancing open access partnerships, having signed more than 90 agreements around the globe, including with institutions across APAC.
