Witnesses sought to fatal pedestrian crash at Rozelle, NSW

Police are reappealing for witnesses after a fatal crash in Rozelle last month, NSW Police say.

About 1.30pm (23 May 2017), emergency services were called to Gordon Street, following reports a man had been struck by a car.

Police have been told the driver of a Toyota Yaris was attempting to exit a driveway onto Gordon Street when he struck a 70-year-old man.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and took the man to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where he later died.

The 84-year-old man who was driving the Yaris assisted police at the scene and was released pending further inquiries.

Police from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the crash and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Inquiries to date have so far only identified one witness.

Police are particularly interested in hearing from anyone with information on the movements of the pedestrian on the day of the crash.
