A woman will face court next month after she was allegedly detected drink driving in a school zone in the Lake Illawarra region yesterday, NSW Police say.
Just after 3pm yesterday, police observed a woman driving on Ashburton Road, Albion Park.
The woman stopped her vehicle outside a school and police will allege she attempted to drive away with her child in the car.
She was stopped and subjected to a roadside breath test and returned a positive reading.
The 49-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station where she returned a breath analysis of 0.262.
She was subsequently charged with high-range drink driving, and attempt to drive high-range PCA.
She was granted conditional bail and will appear in Albion Park Local Court on Friday 10 March 2017.
Her licence was also suspended.
