Woman rescued - Royal National Park, NSW

A woman has been rescued after being injured while walking in the Royal National Park, NSW Police say.

About 11.20am Tuesday 25 April 2017, a 40-year-old woman fell and injured her ankle while bushwalking on the Coast track, 3km north of Otford.

The location, known as "Palm Jungle" is inaccessible by vehicle. The woman was stretchered to a suitable location by police, ambulance, SES, and Fire & Rescue NSW personnel, and winched onto a helicopter which conveyed her to Wollongong Hospital for treatment.
