Woman stabbed in Matraville

Police are investigating a stabbing in Sydney’s east, NSW Police say.

About 4pm today, police from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command attended a home on Peronne Way, Matraville, after reports of a stabbing.

Police attended and located a woman aged in her 40s with a wound to her upper arm.

She was taken to Prince Of Wales Hospital. Her injury is not life threatening.

A crime scene has been established at the address which will be examined by forensic specialists.

Detectives have commenced inquiries into the incident. No arrests have yet been made.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
