Bayside Council is committed to supporting organisations and initiatives to reduce and prevent cases of family and domestic violence in our local community.

Council Domestic and Family Violence Action Plan promotes participation in campaigns to raise awareness of domestic and family violence.

Council's Action Plan also aims to ensure Council venues are accessible at times that suit customers and that public spaces promote a safe environment.

Council also provides grant funding opportunities to organisations that support women and children to escape domestic violence and partners with organisations that work to reduce domestic violence within our community.

Mayor Saravinovski said:

"We in Bayside are not immune to tragedies relating to domestic violence. We must commit to helping put an end to such suffering and offer help and support to those experiencing family and domestic violence," Mayor Bill Saravinovski said.
