Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash Spurs Queensland Police Response

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal single-vehicle crash at Springfield Lakes this afternoon, May 4.

Initial investigations indicate that around 5.45pm, a Mercedes-Benz hatch lost control at the intersection of Highlands Terrace and Summit Drive and collided with a tree.

The driver of the vehicle, a 42-year-old Springfield Lakes man, was declared deceased at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances of the crash and appealing to anyone who may have seen the vehicle, witnessed the incident, or may have relevant dashcam/CCTV footage to come forward.
