Car over embankment at Paracombe, South Australia

Police are investigating a crash overnight at Paracombe.

Just after 1.30am on Friday 31 July, patrols and emergency services were called to Gorge Road, after a Mitsubishi sedan hit a guard rail before leaving the road and crashing about 30 metres down an embankment.

The driver, a 19-year-old man from Paralowie was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with a minor injury to his hand after being assisted back up the embankment. His passenger, a 19-year-old man from Elizabeth East was uninjured and standing on the roadway when crews arrived.

The car will be removed from the scene later today. Investigations are continuing.
