Police are investigating a break-in and theft at a Hope Valley residence yesterday afternoon, according to SA Police.
The victim was home alone about 1pm on Friday 10 August when she answered a knock at the front door of her Green Road, Hope Valley home.
A man armed with a knife and wearing a balaclava demanded money. He fled the scene after taking cash.
The victim was not injured during the incident.
The suspect was wearing a black hooded jumper, black jeans and white Nike sneakers.
Eastern District CIB detectives attended the scene and investigations are continuing.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
