Deceptions in the South East

Police from Manningham Crime Investigation Unit are investigating following thefts and deceptions in Melbourne’s south east in September, Victoria Police say.

It’s believed an unknown man fraudulently withdrew several thousand dollars from a number of ATMs in Bentleigh East, Mordialloc, Paterson Lakes, and St Kilda using a stolen bank card between 4 and 7 September.

On one occasion investigators believe he attended a bank in Mordialloc about 10.50am on 4 September in the company of a small child.

Investigators have released CCTV of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, about 180com tall with a medium build, short dark hair, and was wearing a green jacket with a hood and pushing a young child in a three-wheel stroller.

Anyone who recognises the men or with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
