Homicide Squad detectives are investigating after a man was located deceased in Baxter this morning, Victoria Police say.
The man was found with a gunshot wound in the shed of a Station Crescent home shortly before 11am.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are currently treating the man’s death as suspicious.
A 45-year-old Baxter man, believed to be known to the deceased man, has been arrested and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
The deceased man is yet to be formally identified.
