Fatal tree felling incident at Forth, TAS

Sadly, a 72-year-old man has died from a tree felling incident in Forth, in the State’s north-west, today, Tasmania Police say.

Police and emergency services were called to a rural property in Forth around 8am this morning regarding the incident.

Investigations show the deceased was with two other men felling trees on the property. During the cutting down of a tree, a limb fell, striking the man. He sustained serious injuries and sadly died at the scene.

Investigations are continuing and a report is being prepared for the Coroner.

Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the man involved.
