Hawkesbury road rage incident brings charges, NSW

A man will face court next month after an alleged road rage incident in the Hawkesbury Region, NSW Police say.

Around 7pm Wednesday 21 November 2018, a 32-year-old woman was overtaken by another vehicle while she was travelling along Spinks Road at Glossodia.

The woman has told police she had to take evasive action to avoid a crash.

The male driver of the other vehicle got out of the car and allegedly began arguing with the 32-year-old woman. During the argument, it will be alleged a mirror on the woman’s car was damaged.

The woman’s 10-year-old child was in the car at the time.

Police will also allege the man became involved in a fight with a second man, who attempted to intervene.

A roadside breath test returned a positive result. The man was arrested at the scene and taken to Hawkesbury Police Station.

A subsequent breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.078

The 37-year-old man was charged with menacing driving (road rage), low range PCA, suspended driver, intimidate, damage property, common assault and possession of offensive implement.

He was granted strict conditional bail and will appear in Windsor Local Court on Thursday 13 December 2018
