Man charged over child abuse material, NSW

Police have charged a Dee Why man over the alleged possession of child abuse material, NSW Police say.

On Tuesday 4 October 2016, detectives from Northern Beaches Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a home on Oaks Avenue.

During a search of the home, police allegedly located and seized a number hard drives as well as other computer devices which were secured for further analysis.

Following further inquiries, a 54-year-old man attended Manly Police Station today, where he was arrested.

The man was charged with producing child abuse material, filming a person in private act (aggravated), and possessing child abuse material.

The man was refused bail and appeared before Manly Local Court today and was remanded to appear at the same court on Wednesday 26 October 2016.
