Police are investigating following a theft and subsequent deception in North Melbourne in February, Victoria Police say.
Investigators have been told the offender stole the victim’s bank card from a mail box on Bedford Street, North Melbourne on 24 February.
The card has been used to make purchases at a stationary store and supermarket in South Melbourne, a convenience store in North Melbourne as well as an online supermarket totalling more than $700.
The offender is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance, late-30s to mid-40s, medium build with short brown hair with distinct bald spot and was wearing a blue Nike t-shirt with ‘Duke Uni Basketball’ logo on front.
Investigators have released CCTV images of a man they believe could assist with their enquiries.
