NSW police probe following two robberies

Police are investigating following two robberies in the Blue Mountains today, NSW Police say.

About 12.20pm today, a man entered a liquor store on the Great Western Highway, Faulconbridge, and allegedly threatened the attendant.

The man fled the scene with cash and cigarettes in a blue vehicle.

The second incident occurred just before 1.30pm, when a man entered a supermarket on White Cross Road, Winmalee.

He allegedly threatened an employee before fleeing with cash and cigarettes.

Officers from Blue Mountains Local Area Command attended and crime scenes were established at both locations. It’s believed the incidents are linked.

Following inquiries, a blue Daihatsu Charade was located in Springwood but no one was inside.

Police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 30s, about 175-180cm, of solid build with brown hair. He was last seen wearing a yellow work jacket and baseball cap.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
