Paper Planet by Polyglot Theatre a great success

Last week two family events, Paper Planet by Polyglot Theatre were held at Brighton Town Hall to celebrate Debbie Symons: Sing exhibition currently showing at Bayside Gallery. The events were a huge success with 336 people attending. It was wonderful to see so many children, parents and grand parents getting creative. Thank you to all those who came along.

Paper Planet is a spectacular forest of tall cardboard trees, the perfect place for flocks of paper birds to flit and fly, and for children’s imaginations to go truly wild.

After entering the space, families use masking tape, paper and cardboard to make creatures, vines, flowers, costumes and impossible feathered creations, adding to the avian sanctuary around them. This is an ongoing, durational installation, where audiences build whole environments. Paper Planet is an experience that all ages find inspiring and utterly blissful.

Debbie Symons: Sing is showing at Bayside Gallery until 9 May. Bring the whole family and take part in the Great Art Detective.

Make sure you sign up to the Arts in Bayside Enewsletter and follow us Bayside Gallery on Facebook and Instagram to find out about future events.
