Police charge man after bridge climbin Brisbane

A 30-year-old man has been charged following an alleged incident on the Storey Bridge this morning.

Police will allege the man climbed the bridge to take a selfie shortly after 4am which caused the bridge to be closed to traffic and also interrupted a party of sightseers who had paid to climb the bridge.

The man, from Bonbeach Victoria, was charged with unregulated high-risk activities, public nuisance and obstruct police. He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 26.
