A man has been charged after another man was stabbed in Sydney's west yesterday.
About 2.30am (Monday 27 January 2020), police were called to Calida Crescent, Hassall Grove, following reports of a stabbing.
Officers attached to Mt Druitt Police Area Command attended and found a 26-year-old man with stab wounds to his chest, abdomen and arm.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police were told that the 26-year-old man had been involved in a physical altercation with a 25-year-old man who allegedly fled the scene after the incident.
Officers established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.
Following inquiries, a 25-year-old man was arrested yesterday (Tuesday 28 January 2020) at a home on Mawson Road, Tregear.
He was taken to Mt Druitt police station and charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He was refused bail to appear at Mt Druitt Local Court today (Wednesday 29 January 2020).
