Police charge two men with drug supply after music festival at Moore Park

Two men will face court today charged with drug supply following a music festival in Sydney yesterday.

Surry Hills Police Area Command, with assistance from officers attached to the Central Metropolitan Region conducted a drug dog operation at the Touch Bass Music Festival in Moore Park between 6pm and 11pm (Sunday 21 April 2019).

A total of 129 people were searched, with 75 drug detections, predominantly for substances believed to be MDMA and cocaine.

Two men were arrested and charged, along with 37 Field Court Attendance Notices, and 35 Criminal Infringement Notices were issued for drug possession.

Two of those Field Court Attendance Notices were issued for the offence of supply prohibited drug.

Two men – aged 20 and 22 – were arrested and charged with drug supply after allegedly carrying MDMA capsules.

The 22-year-old man was also charged with deal with property proceeds of crime.

They were both refused bail to appear before Parramatta Bail Court today (Monday 22 April 2019).
