Two arrested over headphone theft, South Australia

Two men were arrested following a street robbery at Kilburn last night.

About 10.15pm on Thursday 15 November, a young man was walking along Galway Street, Kilburn when he was approached by two men with their faces covered. They allegedly threatened him with a knife, robbed him of his headphones and walked off.

The victim was not injured during the robbery.

Police attended and searched the area, locating two suspects matching the description given by the victim a couple of blocks away near the intersection of Prospect Road and The Parade, Blair Athol. The stolen property was returned to the victim. The knife was also recovered.

A 23-year-old Blair Athol man and a 22-year-old Kilburn man were both arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. They were refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today, Friday 16 November.
