Two men have been seriously injured following a fire at an industrial site in Revesby yesterday afternoon, NSW Police say.
Just before 4pm today, emergency services attended a wrecking yard in Fitzpatrick street after receiving reports of an explosion at the premises.
Two employees, aged 40 and 32, sustained significant burns and were assisted by police and witnesses.
Fire & Rescue NSW attended and contained the blaze which was well alight.
Neighbouring businesses were evacuated as a precaution.
Both men were conveyed to Royal North Shore hospital for treatment.
A crime scene has been established as investigators commence inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
