210-218 Argyle Street, North Hobart

The Hobart City Council Planning Committee has refused a development application for partial demolition, alterations and communal residence for 208-218 Argyle Street, Hobart due to concerns about parking, vehicle movements and the height of the proposal.

259 and 267 Sandy Bay Road, Sandy Bay, and adjacent road reserve

The Hobart City Council Planning Committee has approved a development application for change of use to hotel industry (bottle shop), alterations, carpark and signage for 259 and 267 Sandy Bay Road, Sandy Bay.

The proposal includes a change to the existing retail building to be used as a bottle shop, construction of a 46-space carpark, bicycle parking, construction of a plant deck (with noise barrier), and installation of signage consistent with the colours and branding of the intended tenant.

57-63 Macquarie Street, Hobart

The Hobart City Council Planning Committee has approved a development application for partial change of use to shop and signage for 57-63 Macquarie Street, Hobart.

This proposal includes the change of use of the south western corner of the City Hall building to a shop, minor internal works to fit out the shop and three window signs.

Davey Street, Hobart

The Hobart City Council Planning Committee has approved a development application for alterations (bus stop) and signage for Davey Street, Hobart.

The Department of State Growth proposal includes the construction of two new bus shelters in the footpath on Davey Street, adjacent to 34 Davey Street, and the construction of two new bus signs adjacent to the new shelters.

30 McRobies Road, South Hobart

The Hobart City Council Planning Committee has approved a development application for an outbuilding for 30 McRobies Road, South Hobart.

The proposal includes a shipping container portable "pod" to be positioned next to the existing tip shop building, with the outbuilding to be used as a work area.
